From July 9 to 12, 2015, the painting exhibition “Modus in rebus” will be held in the ancient Church of the Santissima Annunziata in Colmurano.
On display is a series of oil paintings by artist Meldolesi, largely centered on religious themes, including “Auditio”, a round painting on wood depicting Father Matteo Ricci, the “Announced Virgin” and “Abbadia” on paper, as well as a canvas featuring the “Pietà.”
The church was presumably built during the 13th century, and from that period the façade and a tower incorporated into the rear of the structure are still preserved. Inside, there is a fresco depicting the Nativity, dated 1566 and attributed to Giovanni Andrea De Magistris.
